**POSITION TITLE**: ELCC Program Coordinator - ECE Recruitment and Retention
**DEPARTMENT**: Early Learning and Child Care
**CLASSIFICATION**: MGO-05 to MGO-06
**SALARY RANGE**: $56,100.00 to $79,235.00 Per Annum
**POSITION TYPE**:Full-time, Permanent
**LOCATION**: Saskatoon
**ACCOUNTABLE TO**:Director of Early Learning and Child Care
**Brief Overview**:
MN-S is looking for a strong individual that has a passion for early learning, is an exceptional communicator, and a natural problem solver. Under the direction of the Director of Early Learning and Child Care, the ELCC Program Coordinator is responsible for the Recruitment and Retention of Métis Early Childhood Educators.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Development of a recruitment/retention strategic plan for Métis Early Childhood Educators.
- Implementation of recruitment/retention initiatives.
- Development of the recruitment and retention plan to support all Regions in Saskatchewan.
- Support the employment of Métis ECE’s in Métis Early Learning Centers throughout the province.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with early learning and education service providers across the province.
- Contribute to budget programming and analysis.
- As an Early Learning and Child Care team member, develop and set strategic goals and objectives in coordination with the Early Learning and Child Care strategic plan.
- Prepare reports which may include monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on ECE Recruitment and Retention initiatives.
- Other duties/responsibilities as determined by the Director of Early Learning and Child Care.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary degree in Education or Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the childcare sector in a management position.
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- Experience in Early Childhood Education, childcare licensing, ministry documents, and policies involving Early Childhood Education would be an asset.
- Provide support to organizations, stakeholders, and service providers.
- Well-developed administrative, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of program administration, budgeting/financial management, program planning, and coordinating.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of tact and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems and situations and take appropriate action.
- Work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment.
- The ability to travel, at times in a rental vehicle, may be required.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
- A high degree of technology literacy and proficiency of keyboarding, Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, and various databases.
- Advanced communications skills including speaking, writing, and active listening skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, demonstrate good judgement, and make decisions independently within set processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of Métis culture.
- Experience working with Métis clients would be an asset.
- Resiliency in dealing with changing schedules, timelines, and financial priorities.
- Adaptive to environmental or governmental priority shifts
- Assist with programming requirements in accordance with signed contracts/contribution agreements.
- Maintain partnerships with provincial contacts, childcare centers, and service providers.
- Coordinate project initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with MN-S staff, MN-S Citizens, and other partners, as required.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
