The Riverine is looking to add a Casual Cook to our team. Must work well independently as well as a team member.

**Qualifications**:
1. Must consistently demonstrate support of the homes Mission and Values

2. Completion of a cook or culinary diploma program from an established college or an Inter-provincial Standards Red Seal Program will be considered an asset.

3. Must have successfully completed the Food Handlers training program offered by the board of health for the public health unit and maintain certification as per requirement. Proof of certification must be provided to Employer.

4. Successful applicant must have the ability to fulfill the job expectations and responsibilities set out in the Cook job description.

5. Experience preparing food for groups of 50+ people will be considered an asset.

6. Ability to perform duties scheduled in accordance with established methods and techniques and in accordance with standards set out in the Retirement Home Regulatory Association Regulations and policies and procedures of the home.

7. 6 months cooking experience in Retirement Home setting would be an asset.

8. Ability to work shifts as scheduled including weekends.

9. Must be willing to work with cutting edge cooking technology and specifically use of the combination/rationale cooking systems.

10. Must be able to demonstrate ability to positively interact and communicate with Residents and visitors of the home.

COVID-19 considerations:
Must wear a medical mask for the duration of shift, must be fully vaccinated, must adhere to hand hygiene, physical distancing, screening and testing requirements and all of the homes COVID protocols and requirements.
