Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.
**The opportunity**
We are currently looking to fill one part time position - approximately 25 hours - as a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Support Worker in Peterborough, Ontario. This role is an outreach position and will require a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.
Starting wage is $23.06 with annual increases.
**Responsibilities**
- Current position is only weekday daytime shifts
- Reporting responsibilities (incident reports, behavioral data collection and verbal reports)
- Participate in any required training
- Follow policies and procedures as required
- Provide one to one support within the home and community to adults with a Brain Injury with activities of daily living, community engagement, and rehabilitation planning.
- Communicate with client, family, and team members.
- Perform duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains client and staff health and safety.
**Qualifications and experience**
- Post-Secondary preferred or experience in Social Services
- Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Sound behavioral management skills and problem-solving skills.
- Proven teamwork abilities
- Working knowledge of disabilities
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
