Sanitation Technician

In this position of Sanitation Worker, the individual would be responsible for cleaning and sanitization of bakery equipment as well as general cleaning in the plant. They will be trained an educated on lock out procedures and safe practices when it comes to equipment handling. They will also be trained on WHMIS 2015 and chemicals specific to this facility.

Required Qualifications:

- Willing to work evening’s, nights, and weekends as the sanitation crew must work offset production.
- Dependable, punctual as working in a safe, clean and healthy work environment is extremely important to operation.
- Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations including health and safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to learn quickly, pays attention to detail as working with bakery equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as production runs on a schedule.
- Highly motivated and team oriented as the sanitation crew works together to achieve all their daily requirements.
- Works in a safe and responsible manner in all aspects of the job.

Primary Duties:

- Ensure equipment is cleaned as per production schedules allows.
- Cleaning of all production equipment based on its needs (this may include scrubbing, washing).
- Follow all necessary steps required in cleaning of all equipment.
- General plant cleaning
- includes washing of dishes and sweeping and mopping of plant floor.
- Ensure checklist are followed and used properly.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is maintained and kept up to date.

Pay: From $15.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
