Role Overview

**JOB OVERVIEW**
- ** Individual accountability for site HSE, Quality, Productivity, and Manufacturing Excellence objectives**
- ** Ensure all aspects/standards of the Responsible Care Safety Program are met**
- ** Directly supervises Maintenance Planner’s and Reliability Engineer’s and leads the prioritization of their activities**
- ** Ensure schedule compliance and equipment availability targets are met by developing robust repair schedules and preventative maintenance plans with Operations group.**
- ** Support and lead select site and departmental strategic initiatives in areas such as operational/maintenance continuous improvement, organizational development and maintenance/reliability excellence.**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Active daily coaching, leadership and development of Maintenance Planner’s and Reliability Engineer’s**
- ** Demonstrate visible safety leadership ensuring policies, procedures and standards are followed and measures are taken to correct any non-compliance**
- ** Responsible for the development and management of sites Bad Actor program**
- ** Ensure adequate preventative maintenance forecasts are conducted and scheduled with Operation’s group**
- ** Oversight of key turnaround/shutdown scheduling and planning**
- ** Management of the site’s Mechanical Integrity and Condition-Based Monitoring programs, introducing new technologies/methodologies where appropriate**
- ** Advancement of the site’s Reliability program through equipment criticality analysis per the Maintenance Excellence Road Map**
- ** Assist with MRO Storeroom improvement projects as required**
- ** Participate in the development of the work process improvement objectives and area improvement team goals**
- ** Fill in for Maintenance Manager as required.**

**EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES**:

- ** Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or relevant post-secondary education in trades/technology**
- ** Minimum of 8 years progressive experience with the Maintenance department at an Industrial Chemical Manufacturer or other related industry with Supervisor experience required**
- ** Experience as a leader in a unionized environment required**
- ** Must have demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams**
- ** Experience with using and working with a CMMS, working knowledge of SAP preferred**
- ** Excellent communication and skills and detail oriented**
- ** Demonstrated planning and organization skills**
- ** Ability to manage multiple priorities**
- ** Previous experience in conflict resolution and performance management.**

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- ** Based at the Welland Site.**

- ** Reports to the Maintenance Manager**
