Quality Inspector

As a Quality Assurance Inspector at Soucy, you'll be at the heart of our performance, ensuring that every component and product we deliver meets the highest industry standards. Your role will be to validate, inspect and approve finished and development products, as well as supplier parts, to ensure compliance with our customers' requirements. In addition to coordinating and monitoring corrective and preventive actions, you will actively participate in the evolution of our quality system, ensuring that every problem finds a lasting solution. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and improving the quality of our products throughout the supply chain
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Inspect and measure production and development tracks and raw materials
- Verify assembly of parts and military assemblies
- Publish quality and production statistics
- Verify supplier certificates and inspection reports against SPQ content and technical drawings
- Audit operators for compliance with control plans
- Issue and analyze non reports (RNC)
- Coordinate and calibrate measuring and testing equipment
- Manage defective manufactured parts
- Perform any other tasks requested by the immediate superior.
- Temporary full-time position
- ** Shift**: 3x12h night shift + 1 Saturday per month (5x8h day shift training)
- ** Salary**: attractive hourly rate
- ** Shift premium**: night and 12h premium up to $3.75/hour
**With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role**:
- Experience in quality control
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and metrology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel)
- Knowledge or notions of ISO 9001
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and self-reliance
- Able to make quick decisions
- Proficiency with vernier, micrometer and torque wrench
- Ability to perform simple mathematical and statistical calculations
- Document writing skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Good reasoning skills and ability to meet deadlines
