**Marker Maker - Outerwear / Clothing Manufacturer**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Marker Maker to join our team. The Marker Maker is responsible for creating and distributing markers for the cutters. This position is accountable for creating markers with the PAD System to achieve the best material utilization possible. Markers are tailored to specific Cutting Sheet.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create markers in the PAD system for both prototype and production, ensuring optimal material utilization while maintaining fabric quality standards and respecting pattern constraints.
- Calculate fabric consumption for costing, bulk cutting, and material ordering purposes.
- Plot and prepare electronic marker files for vendors according to deadlines outlined in the Marker Production Schedule.
- Monitor and maintain plotter operations, including replacing plotter paper and tracking usage.
- Ensure proper maintenance and performance of plotter equipment.
- Follow up on pattern and marker revisions and ensure timely updates.
- Collaborate closely with Pattern Makers to align revisions and updates throughout development and production.
- Work with cutting room teams to support efficient marker distribution and communication.
- Perform all other duties as assigned in support of the production department.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marker making.
- Strong proficiency in PAD System or Gerber Accumark; experience with other CAD systems is an asset.
- 2-3 years of experience working with cutting rooms.
- Basic knowledge of pattern making and sewing is an asset.
- Experience working with outerwear garments is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
Join us as a Marker Maker, where your skills will contribute significantly to our production process, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
