As a Corporate Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all internal accounting and reporting activities within the organization.

Internal reporting:

- Manage accounting operations, monthly/quarterly closing of accounts and preparation of internal consolidated financial statements;
- Conduct a review of controls and, in partnership with the internal controls team, improve internal controls through the implementation of new controls;
- Ensure that adequate financial recording systems and processes are maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and standard company policies and procedures;
- Participate in the improvement of financial reporting using Oracle ERP and related systems;
- Participate in the preparation of audit committee presentations;
- Work closely with the VP Finance on all external reporting and external audit issues and activities.

Back office management:

- Manage the payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing teams;
- Oversee the improvement of customer billing and collection;
- Work with other departments to understand their needs and adapt financial processes as necessary to reflect changes in business processes.

Other:

- Participate in the integration of newly acquired companies into our existing structures and reporting systems;
- Participate in various company initiatives involving or impacting the accounting and finance function;
- Work on continuous improvement: implement new processes and automation to improve efficiency and ensure financial integrity. The company is currently considering the automation of various processes and the potential use of offshore resources;
- Act as a key resource in resolving day-to-day issues to ensure that financial operations remain functional and efficient;
- Monitor team performance and task management. The Corporate Financial Controller manages a team of approximately 28 people;
- Manage the recruitment of team members as required;
- Act as a support to the operations for various information requests.

Does this sound like you?

**Minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalencies**:

- CPA designation.

**Professional experience**:

- At least ten (10) years of experience in public accounting or equivalent experience in the accounting industry.

**Additional skills - useful skills**:

- At least ten (10) years of relevant experience, seven (7) of which must be in the management of a financial or accounting department;
- Experience in process optimization;
- Knowledge of IFRS standards;
- Knowledge of generally accepted IT tools, including Oracle and the Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to manage priorities while meeting deadlines;
- Experience in using offshore staff for corporate functions (an asset);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English. Exceptional written English skills required. Level expected:
