Are you a seasoned paralegal or law clerk with a passion for legal research, contract management, and commercial activities? We're looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our client's team as a Senior Paralegal / Law Clerk, supporting the Director of Legal (Canada) and other key stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work independently on a variety of legal matters, make impactful contributions, and be a crucial part of a team driving legal excellence across our organization.

**What You'll Be Doing**:
**Legal Support**: Assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing a wide range of general business contracts, including RFP bids and legal correspondence.
**Contract Compliance**: Address and resolve contract compliance-related inquiries and routine legal questions under the direction of the Director of Legal (Canada).
**Issue Resolution**: Collaborate with various parties to resolve routine legal issues related to product purchases, provincial health authorities, clinical studies, confidentiality agreements, and more.
**Advisory**: Provide day-to-day legal support to the Director of Legal (Canada) on a wide range of legal issues and commercial activities.
**Project Participation**: Engage in special projects as required, ensuring that all contracts meet our legal standards.
**Independent Work**: Manage a wide variety of contracts across our business units, using discretion and independent judgment.
**Template Development**: Develop and update contract templates to ensure consistency and legal compliance.
**Research**: Conduct in-depth, internet-based legal research on topics such as corporate law, intellectual property, privacy, and ethics.

**What They Are Looking For**:
**Education**:

- Paralegal or Law Clerk diploma (required).
- Licensed Paralegal and legal courses related to healthcare, privacy, or competition law (preferred).

**Skills**:

- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in legal research with a thorough knowledge of legal resources and databases.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage projects independently.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals at all levels.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 10 years working as a paralegal or law clerk in a corporate law setting.
- Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general business contracts.
- Healthcare industry experience and fluency in French are highly desirable.
