Responsibilities:

- Prevent Shoplifting
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Conduct surveillance through CCTV systems to detect and prevent security breaches
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or relevant position
- Must have a Alberta Security License
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques, procedures, and equipment
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and protocols
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in security-related fields are a plus

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises. You will be responsible for monitoring the premises, conducting surveillance, responding to shoplifters, controlling access points, and providing assistance to customers and employees. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to handle emergency situations will be essential in ensuring a safe environment.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Loss prevention: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (required)
- Handcuff Certificate (required)
