**About us**

The Peppercorn is a full-service, licensed 300-seat restaurant & lounge with private banquet room and patio, located just 10 minutes east of Winnipeg in Oakbank. Family-owned and offering friendly, knowledgeable service and a wide-ranging menu of local fare with a focus on hand-carved steaks and cheesecakes baked in-house. Many gluten-free options available plus very accommodating for allergies and dietary restrictions. Takeout and delivery service available throughout RM of Springfield.

**Job Duties**:

- Prepares and serves alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor.
- Prepares and serves food items such as appetizers, entrees, desserts, etc.
- Ensuring the quality of service offered by the restaurant is consistent and of the highest standard
- Set up, restock, and maintain workstations and dining areas as needed throughout shift.
- Explaining menu items and serving food and beverages to guests
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Driver’s License - located outside of the City of Winnipeg, no public transit available
- Minimum two (2) years of past success in full service restaurant environment
- SmartChoices Certification or able to get certified within 3 months of hiring (or equivalent Liquor Service Certification)
- Ability to build rapport with guests
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently and effectively individually and as a team
- Attention to detail, problem solving, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work long hours on feet as required to serve customers.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
