IT Analyst

As the IT Analyst reporting to the National IT Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of IT services, project coordination and asset procurement and deployment for Gallagher's Winnipeg office locations. You will keep the IT Systems running smoothly so that users can complete organizational tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving escalated help requests. Resolving issues may involve using diagnostic tools and tracking IT tickets, as well as providing hands-on help at the office level.

What You Will Be Doing

Project-based IT work that implements the widest range of IT equipment, including network equipment, servers, terminals, personal computers, cabling and associated software products.

Second level desktop support for service desk escalated tickets.

Provides advanced and practical technical support as transmitted by the Service Desk.

Communicates and escalates incidents and requests.

Records and tracks incidents and requests; reviews incidents and requests.

Examines problems with hardware and performs minor repairs to system hardware and communication connections.

Acts as facility manager for the implementation of technical projects; coordinates facility infrastructure needs for new construction or moves.

Participates in meetings, committees and ongoing training to improve individual, departmental or organizational performance.

Help and train users in the proper use of technology.

Mentors or collaborates with other Technical Analysts and other members of Gallagher Technical Services (GTS).

Participates in the planning and budgeting of IT projects, as required.

Works effectively with regional and other GTS personnel to ensure division priorities and standards are met.

Adheres to and supports GTS standards, policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

Educational background in Computer Science or relevant work experience.

1-2 years of experience working in a corporate environment providing support to internal users is considered to be a strong asset.
