**Full-Time Support Worker 3**

**Compensation**: $28.67/hour plus paid vacation time off (3 weeks vacation, wellness and float days) and a comprehensive benefits package including RRSP matching after a waiting period of three months

**Location**: London, ON

**Schedule**: 32-40 hrs/week; varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays

**Please be advised: A Class G (full) Driver’s License is mandatory for this position.**

**Summary of Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Working with adults with developmental disabilities, concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses in an assisted-living environment providing 24/7 support to develop daily living skills that support community integration/engagement
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships and attend to the diverse needs of participants
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants requiring varying levels of behaviourial interventions; remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills
- Collaborate with team to implement care plans that support involvement in person-centred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth
- Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in Human, Community, and/or Social Services (e.g. CYC, SSW, DSW)
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support; knowledge of concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses and strategies for support
- Reliable with a demonstrated commitment to being a dependable member of a team
- Understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
- Strong leadership, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary
- Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
- Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
- Satisfactory current (within the last 6 months) Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred
