We are looking for an Out of School Care Supervisor to join our Chase River team

**The Out of School Care Supervisor is responsible for**:

- The design, implementation, and evaluation of a program schedule that includes age-appropriate activities for program participants that include all elements of BGCCVI core programming standards.
- Ensure the program standards, guidelines, and policies of the BGCCVI are upheld and all community care licensing requirements are met
- Responsible for the hiring of staff for their program
- Working with the billing coordinator to ensure appropriate paperwork is received and fees are collected for the program
- Conduct assessments and develops individualized and group curriculum depending on the child's individual needs.
- Ensures effective registration and orientation of children and families.
- Ensures staff is scheduled according to child and staff ration posted for staff requirements.
- Ensures staff timesheets are completed and approved within the required payroll processing timeline.
- Ensures the facility is cleaned daily and maintained according to BGCCVI standards.
- Ensures Ezkidz tracking information is inputted daily.

**Job Requirements**:

- An undergraduate degree or diploma in social sciences/recreation, or education preferred.
- Combination of work experience and education is required - minimum 20 hours Child Related Education
- Must be approved as a Licensed Manager by Community Care Facility Licensing within 21 days of employment.
- Two (2) years previous work experience in a similar environment is preferred
- Previous supervisory and management experience is preferred
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

**Position Details**:
Job Status: Full-Time (31 - 40 hours per week)

Hourly Rate: $19.90 per hour

**Licensed ECE would be eligible for the ECE Wage Enhancement**

Location: Chase River, Nanaimo BC
