**About us**

The Guiding Light Women Empowerment Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering families and uplifting vulnerable communities. Our Rescue Events are recurring community food relief efforts where we set up, serve, and restore dignity through acts of compassion. Our work environment include a modern office setting and Warehouse setting for food distribution

**Summary**

Position Type: Volunteer Ongoing, Scheduled Shifts Available

Commitment: Flexible, minimum 2 shift/month preferred (Saturdays and Sundays alternating)

**Role Summary**:
We are seeking dependable, compassionate volunteers to join our Rescue Event Team (Saturdays and Sundays). As part of this team, you will help setup and distribute food, support event logistics, and assist with cleanup and tear-down to ensure a smooth and dignified experience for our guests.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist with event setup: tables, food stations, supplies

Distribute food and essentials to community members

Provide respectful and kind support to attendees

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Help with post-event clean-up and tear-down

Follow instructions from event coordinators and uphold safety and dignity standards

**Qualifications**:
A heart for service and community care

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts

Works well in a team and under direction

Respectful and non-judgmental attitude toward diverse populations

Must be 16 years or older (parental consent required under 18)
