Bouygues Energies & Services is a leading provider of facility management services to a range of clients across Canada and, through our parent company, globally.
Bouygues Energies & Services is seeking a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing, directing and controlling a variety of project activities and providing operational support to Project and Facility Managers. This person will report to the Technical Director and be based out of our modern head office in Vaughan, Ontario. Hours of work will be Monday through Friday.
We are looking for an organized and adaptable individual with 3-5 years of experience in a related role, ideally in the field of facility management or construction. As you will be working on a variety of projects across Canada, excellent communication and time management skills are key in this role.
Please note that, due to the sensitive and high-security nature of some of our facilities, the successful applicant will be able to obtain an enhanced security clearance with the RCMP.
As we service clients in the health care industry, proof of a double COVID-19 vaccination will be required.
In this role, your specific duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.
- Assist Project Managers in the drafting and issuance of a variety of project documents, including proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules, contractual agreements and purchase orders.
- Track project costs and coordinate invoices with the Finance team.
- Assist Project Managers in the review of quotations to ensure fair and reasonable pricing is obtained.
- Prepare project organization and communication charts.
- Chair site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades.
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
- Review field inspection reports from consultants.
- Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database.
- Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained.
