We are currently searching for a
**Painter **to join our team. This is a full-time shift position at our Leduc location. Our Leduc facility is only a short commute from the following South Edmonton neighbourhoods
Allard (20km) - 18 minutes
Chappelle (22km) - 19 minutes
Summerside & Ellerslie (23km) - 20 minutes
Twin Brooks (24km) - 21 minutes
**Position Summary**:
The Painter will be responsible for performing painting duties throughout the facilities. The Painter will prepare and paint various areas of the building such as suites, hallways and other common areas. The Painter is responsible for performing their duties in a safe manner by following all applicable Health and Safety guidelines.

**What You Bring to the Role**:
- Two (2) years’ professional painting experience required.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License required.
- Clear criminal record check completed a maximum of three (3) months prior to the ‘date of hire’ required.
- Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization required.
- Flexibility, Team player, Reliability.
- Attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and ability to distinguish between colours.
- Good communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with staff and residents.
- Ability to engage in in friendly, polite conversation with residents.
- Keep the maintenance room clean and organized.
- Keep all tools and equipment clean and in working condition.
- Store all extra parts in an organized manner and well stocked.
- Ability to work in an infectious disease outbreak environment and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted.
- Working on ladders.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Work Conditions**
- Physically strenuous work.
- Ability to lift up to 50lb frequently as well as bending, reaching crouching and kneeling.
- Travel to multiple sites required.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Potential exposures to infectious diseases, including an outbreak environment.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to extreme environmental temperatures.
- Interacts moderately with residents.
