We are looking for a self-motivated Quality Assurance Manager to work on multiple exciting landmark projects in Burlington, Toronto core, and surrounding GTA. You will be responsible for the day-to-day quality control functions in an effort to ensure the highest standard is realized at each phase of the construction process. **What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Monitors implementation and compliance of OSHA safety policies
- Provides construction oversight and technical advice by conducting inspections and surveillance, reviewing project documents, including, but not limited to: construction scopes of work, design drawings, contracts, bid documents, contractor invoices and disbursements
- Monitors construction activities and review materials and equipment delivered to the project for adherence to specifications
- Participates in Trade pre-installation meetings to verify that each Trade has an understanding of the Project’s QA and QC requirements before beginning work on site
- Coordinates activities and mediates disputes between contractors and applicants by participating in design review, pre-construction and in-progress construction meetings as needed
- Verifies current construction projects are in compliance with program specifications via site inspections and review of construction documents
- Documents daily activities and communications using multiple software platforms
- Track close-out issues
- Create, document and distribute all QA/QC checklists, inspections, completion lists, punch lists, and reports
- Evaluate / Identify gaps in processes, tools, and provide solutions and road maps for improvement plans
- Ownership and development of all key Quality KPI’s. Establish required essential meetings in order to address and improve overall quality performance
- Communicates effectively with the project team, subcontractors and consultants
- Reads and understands construction plans and specifications including identification of errors or redundancies for resolution by others
- Work with project teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of quality requirements and key project risks
- Promote Best Practices, Lessons Learned, Tools and Templates and hold project teams accountable for ongoing implementation

**What You Bring**:

- 7+ years relevant experience in Quality Assurance
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Familiar with a broad range of general construction processes and nomenclature including testing protocols and procedures, soils and concrete testing, asphalt paving, structural steel and welding, framing, drywall and residential finishing and general construction observations
- Possess strong knowledge of local codes, zoning requirements and building standards
- The ability to perform site inspections to build residential scope of work and estimate associated costs per applicable guidelines, local codes and zoning requirements
- The ability to multitask and complete work assignments independently with mínimal supervision/guidance
- Have strong verbal, listening, written communication and customer service skills
- Must possess valid G driver's license

**Nice to Have Skills**:

- Experience with Lean management
- Residential home building and/or home renovation; experience in high/mid-rise residential construction is an asset
