**Overview**
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, home care environments, or hospice care. Your support will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in caregiving or support work is preferred, particularly in assisted living or home care settings.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Certification in medication administration is beneficial but not required; training will be provided as needed.
- Must be able to pass background checks and comply with health regulations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- King, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
