GerrAudio Distribution is searching for a networking specialist and high-level programmer to support critical large-scale IP-based intercom deployments. As a Technical Support Specialist in this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the system’s customized control software, troubleshooting system issues (IT, software and hardware-based) and assist the lead programmer in the test and deployment of ongoing code-based enhancements to the system.

While this position is remote, there will be instances where travel to/from GerrAudio’s head office in Brockville, Ontario will be required. This role will also require Canadian Citizenship to obtain appropriate access clearance credentials at locations where these systems are deployed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot technical issues related to critical infrastructure, software and/or hardware deployments
- Assist lead programmer with development of code-based software updates and system enhancements
- Regularly test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
- Assist with the deployment and full integration of new systems, as well as provide maintenance and ongoing support for existing systems

**Requirements**:

- 2 - 5 years of proven experience as network technician, programmer or relevant position
- Outstanding computer skills (diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical)
- Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
- Programming experience (_C#, HTML5, REST APIs required, C, C++ preferred_)
- Experience with SIP Telephone PBXs (Asterisk / FreeSwitch) and Microsoft IIS Web Services.
- Experience with Cisco Switch programming and troubleshooting
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field

**Salary**: $45,000 - $65,000 (dependent on skill-set and relevant experience)
