Summary of Position

We are seeking an accomplished Strategic Sourcing Specialist to evaluate and optimize our supplier/vendor spend across the platform. As the Strategic Sourcing Specialist, your duties will include assessing the efficiency of our supply chain, identifying opportunities for savings through effective negotiations, consolidation of spend, national account program designation, and more. You will also be required to study competitor behavior.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated extensive experience in strategic sourcing, evaluating procurement metrics, and developing a sourcing plan to reduce overall spend in a $50-100M sized organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyzing and improving supply chain operations
- Evaluating procurement metrics by measuring supplier spend across platform
- Identifying project scopes, schedules, and costs for any support the company uses
- Establishing effective communication channels with customers, vendors, suppliers, and shipping companies, as required
- Working with Cross Functional Teams, Engineering and Application Engineering
- Negotiating better contracts with existing suppliers as well as sourcing new suppliers
- Negotiating discounts and rebate programs (loyalty programs)
- Establishing risk management plans relating to procurement, as required
- Projecting industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures
- Reporting on competitive intelligence, as well as market and consumer trends
- Improve/Monitor compliance on import, export, and shipment regulations
- Work with local procurement resources to implement effective transition of new suppliers and/or compliance with negotiated contracts

Experience and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, or similar
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing analysis and negotiations
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain, procurement, logistics, and warehouse management
- Proficiency in mitigating risks by predicting future industry trends
- In-depth knowledge of market and consumer trends that might impact supply chains and associated costs
- Extensive knowledge of import, export, and shipping regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills both internally and externally
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
