The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking Mine Haul Truck Operators - Level 2 to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Mine Haul Truck Operator is responsible for safely and productively operating a large Mine Haul Truck.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**:
Operate the Large Mine Haul Truck in a safe and efficient way in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures. Perform Field Level Risk Assessments. Cleaning operator cabin and refilling equipment fluids as required. Complete logbooks and daily reports on safety issues and production. Accurately track all load’s sources, and destinations. Use two-way-radio, horn, and light signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety. Use the Mine Haul Truck according to operating practices, policies, and procedures to haul materials such as sand, aggregates, blasted rock, and snow to various locations on the mine site. Monitor gauges, and other indicators to ensure the mine haul truck is working properly, report discrepancies.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
A minimum of 1 years of experience operating Haul Truck in an industrial setting Heavy Equipment Operator Training is required Valid driver’s license Prior experience in an industrial setting and/or mine site experience is required Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset
LOCATION
This position will be on a rotational basis based in Greenstone, Ontario.
Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up points.
