Reporting to the Geotechnical Lead, this position is a great opportunity to join a growing team of engineers and field technicians. This role is mainly office based but may require field work on an as needed basis.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Prepare proposals, budgeting and scheduling of technical field staff;
- Maintain equipment inventory and ensure calibrations are up to date.
- Review, compile, and submit Daily Field Reports.
- Prepare and update department standard practice procedures and reporting templates.
- Successfully develop relationships with engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnel.
- Perform Geotechnical Materials Testing including compaction testing using a nuclear gauge and concrete testing to CSA Standards.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to coordinate the preparation of Engineering Drawings and Reports.
- Assist with technical analyses/calculations for slopes, shallow and deep foundations
- Plan, conduct, and supervise geotechnical investigations.
- Prepare borehole logs, field reports, and assist with the preparation of reports and recommendations, plans, and specifications.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Previous experience performing Geotechnical materials testing including compaction and concrete testing.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience in gINT, Slope W, Seattle 3D would be considered an asset.
- Experience with reporting writing would be an asset.
- TDG Class 7 training
- Class 5 drivers license, or equivalent is a requirement for this position
