**Position Overview**: As a Shop Hand, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality control of various lighting products. This includes following specific assembly instructions, troubleshooting, ensuring the proper functionality of lights, and preparing products for upcoming jobs. Attention to detail, efficiency, and a focus on safety are essential aspects of this role. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and functionality of our shop, property, and equipment. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and contribute to the smooth operation of our business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assemble lighting fixtures, components, and systems according to detailed instructions, schematics, or work orders.
- Inspect all parts and components for defects or damage before and during the assembly process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or electrical issues during the production process.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Package completed lighting products, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage during transit.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with team leaders or supervisors to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking materials and parts used in the assembly process.
- Continuously improve assembly techniques and processes to increase efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain the shop property by cutting the grass, washing the trucks and making sure trucks are filled with proper lighting supplies
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturday)

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or low voltage electrical work (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical components, wiring, and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle tools and equipment used in assembly tasks, including hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods as required by the role.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working with lighting products, including LED systems or other similar fixtures.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and product testing.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
