THE ROLE

**OVERVIEW**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Customer Service**
- Greet and assist customers with plant, floral, and garden product inquiries.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service at all times.
- Assist with loading plants and gardening products into customers’ vehicles.

**Outdoor Store Appearance**
- Maintain clean, tidy, and well-stocked outdoor displays.
- Water, trim, and care for plants and floral products.
- Assist with setting up seasonal and promotional displays.

**Stocking and Inventory Support**
- Unload deliveries and move product to appropriate locations.
- Restock merchandise and ensure correct product rotation.
- Monitor product quality and report damaged items.

**Health & Safety**
- Follow all safety protocols, including lifting techniques and protective equipment use.
- Maintain awareness of weather conditions and work safely in varying outdoor environments.
- Report hazards, spills, or safety concerns to management promptly.

- Must be capable of working in multiple weather conditions and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift to 25 - 50 pounds repetitively.

**ADDITIONAL ASSETS THAT YOU MAY HAVE**:

- Basic knowledge of trees & shrubs is preferred, including proper growing and maintenance requirements and disease identification.
- Knowledge of nursery stock and horticultural products
- Previous nursery/greenhouse/garden centre experience
- Pesticide handling license or certificate
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
