Bouquet Maker

**Job Summary**

This position is responsible for producing a high volume of floral bouquets and arrangements by hand in a fast pace manner.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Accurately understand and follow flower recipes.
- Identify a wide range of flower varieties.
- Keen eye to identify, reject and report defective stems.
- Set up of working area by selecting and opening boxes with flowers and sorting them in an efficient layout to facilitate the assembly of the bouquets.
- Assemble floral bouquets at fast production rates set up by the daily working plan.
- Clean, make boxes and do other warehouse tasks.
- In the even of no product, late shipments you will be doing other warehouse tasks like roses, growers, making boxes etc.
- Inspect the quality of each finished bouquet, including stem count and shape.
- Accurately report production quantities at the end of the shift.
- Switch tasks to process other lines of products like roses, grower bunches or specialty bouquets.

**Qualifications / Requirements**
- Full availability during floral holidays including overtime as required.
- Work as part of a team in an assembly line or in work stations.
- Standing in place for up to 8 hours per day
- Attention to detail.
- Able to lift and reach boxes and buckets up to 40 lbs.
- Able to push carts full of product.
- Work in a slightly wet environment handling buckets and containers with water.

**Work Environment**
- This position is performed inside a cooler with temperatures ranging between 0 ºC and 10 ºC

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Richmond, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- florist: 1 year (preferred)
