THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Trade Department, you will be part of the team responsible for seamlessly managing and improving the flow of import and export goods across all trade channels. As the Trade & Customs Specialist, you will support in planning, implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow of goods, services and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet our customers’ requirements. THE JOB
As the Trade & Customs Specialist, you will:
- Assess and provide commodity classification expertise to support business operations
- Manage the required cross border import and export of our goods while maximizing Aritzia’s cash flow
- Minimize Aritzia’s liability through internal policies, procedures and audit execution
- Foster external partnerships and manage service level commitments
- Champion the accuracy and consistency of all relevant documents and records for customs compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
The Trade & Customs Specialist has:
- Proven experience in import/export compliance and operations
- CTCS (Certified Trade Compliance Specialist) designation preferred
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- An ability to take on new opportunities and challenges, with a passion to continue to develop and grow oneself
- The skills to set clear objectives and hold oneself accountable to reach your full capability and maximize your potential
