**Description**

Our Client is seeking a Senior Business Consultant with business acumen and the ability to quickly build trusted relationships with multiple levels within the organization and key external stakeholders. The successful resource will have experience working within the Canadian health system context, ideally with the Alberta health system, and understands the health system stakeholders and their needs. This resource has experience working with senior / executive level health system stakeholders in planning, development, and adoption information systems. This resource can demonstrate experience with the legislative context of the health system, such as the Health Information Act (HIA) and Electronic Health Regulation or a Canadian equivalent.

The expectation is for the resource to work 8 hours per day but will be expected to attend online meetings and available to answer questions as required during business hours. This resource will primarily work remotely; however, this role is considered Hybrid as the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office on reasonable notice (possibly every few months).Time to travel and any associated expenses to and from Edmonton and/or travel within Alberta will be at no cost to the Client. When working remote hours all data must remain within Canada. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply.

**Experience Required/Mandatory Skills**
- The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following combinations of education or certification and experience in the resource role: University degree in business, management or a related discipline and four years of related experience; OR Two-year diploma in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and six years of related experience; OR One-year certificate in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing integrated plans, portfolio and project reporting and communicating progress to senior executives. (5+ years)
- Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. (5+ years)
- Experience in the design, development and implementation of a digital transformation initiative or digital delivery program. (5+ years)
- Experience with business writing, communication and documentation. (5+ years)

**Nice To Have Skills**
- Active certification in CAPM, PMP or PgMP as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent and/or an active CMC designation as issued by a member institute of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in executive stakeholder relationship management and engagement (i.e. determining the needs of senior stakeholders and understanding business priorities and pressures). (5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience working in the health industry and knowledge of business practices, information, data and technology requirements. (2+ years)
- Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders. (5+ years)
- Experience in managing projects in a large and complex organization. (5+ years)

**Location**
- Edmonton/Hybrid

**Work Environment**
- 2 years with 1 possible 1-year extension

**Hourly Rate**
