**Job definition**:
Under the supervision of the production coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for assembling the machined parts according to strict assembly procedures. The assembler must test the machined parts to detect defective materials.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform all required operations to assemble and test machined parts with the appropriate tools and equipment;
- Adjust and install the components in accordance with the drawings, instructions, specifications and standards prescribed using the appropriate tools and equipment;
- Conduct operating and pressure tests (flow target test) following established procedures when required;
- Follow strict assembly procedures;
- Perform hydraulic cycle testing on machines parts;
- Measure the dimensions of the parts and adjustment operations using the appropriate tools and equipment (Vernier, micrometer, etc.);
- Detect and report defective materials and improper operations;
- Work with the engineering department to develop new assembly procedures;
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition;
**Technical requirements**:

- Ability to read and interpret machining plans, drawings and specifications;
- Capacity to work with various types of measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators and Vernier;
- Knowledge of tools like: riveting, reamers and drills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Bilingual (English / French)**.**

**Experience required**: Minimum 5 year experience

**Education level**: Diploma of vocational studies in Mechanical Assembly
