- The Facilities and Systems Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day oversight related to Facility Management systems at LHSC. The Specialist is accountable to ensure systems are installed/implemented as ordered with quality through testing after installation and service delivery is maintained. The role fosters effective, collaborative working relationships with both internal stakeholders, selected contractors/vendors and their service teams. The Specialist may facilitate administrative projects for the department/program, which may include but not limited to strategic development and special projects.
This role will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure outcomes are successfully achieved. The Specialist serves as a link between the Leader and the front-line team by providing accessible, timely support and expertise to the team and providing feedback to the Leader. This position also supports process improvement of the daily operations within the department and/or program and provides support to the Leader as required.
**Regular Full-Time**
**Rate of Pay**: $34.22 per hour - $42.78 per hour
**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours per week
**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of a diploma in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, or equivalent
- 3 years of recent, related experience, 5 years preferred
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, with a strong understanding of Access Control Systems
- Strong organizational, project management and impeccable multi-tasking abilities
- Demonstrated experience with problem solving, and critical decision making
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; experience dealing with leadership and senior executives
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
