Facilities Custodian

**Job description**

Perform Custodian Standard interior and exterior grounds work

Perform periodical & seasonal cleaning and maintenance work, snow, and ice clearing

Maintain and prepare waste and recycling materials for disposal

Coordinate multiple waste stream pickups with approved waste management contractors

Assist with coordination and contacting trade persons for plumbing and facilities equipment repairs

Maintain production equipment and general production/nonproduction area checklist criteria

Maintain and replenish spill response kits and sanitization stations

Perform light building repairs, light bulbs, ceiling tiles, hardware, battery replacements, painting

Maintain proper record keeping of waste and contractor workorders and associated documents

Assist with office furniture and machinery installations and relocations

Perform security hardware inspections

Perform sanitization and disinfection activities

Maintain Facilities supplies inventory, organization, and restocking

**_QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED_**

Minimum High School Diploma

Relevant work experience in a fast-paced industrial facilities environment

Must have experience in Custodial job functions and standard cleaning methods and procedures

Able to fulfill physical requirements as required

Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 30 pounds, stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time

Must maintain Lift Truck License

Must maintain Scissor Lift license and Fall Protection certification

Must maintain transportation of dangerous good (TDG) certification

Must have Tennant floor scrubbing, buffing, and sweeping equipment experience

Required to work different shifts and flexible hours

Must hold valid driver’s license and be able to travel between locations

Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with others in English

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)
