We are looking for an experienced Technician, Truck Safety Services to join our team at Stinson Equipment in this newly created role

**You have**:
- Experience in mechanical maintenance and both mechanical and electrical inclination
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical operating procedures and processes
- Welding and hydraulic systems experience an asset
- Forklift experience, certified is an asset.
- Computer knowledge, ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Dedicated to health and safety including safe work practices and good housekeeping habits
- Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to take direction and a willingness to learn
- Extensive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
**As a Technician, Truck Safety Services you will**:
- Diagnose, examine, and investigate to determine causes of defective operation of crash unit and components with the use of computer and mechanical diagnostic equipment.
- Determine proper course of action to facilitate equipment repair, maintenance, adjustment, and component replacement.
- Performs preventative maintenance on crash attenuators, maintains parts inventory to maintain proper working conditions.
- Communicate and consult with the operations and department manager on correct course of repair and installation.
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work.
- Diagnostic tests as needed.
- Operate materials handling equipment (e.g., Hydraulic jacks and hoists, chains, slings), ladders, man-lifts, safety harness and lanyard, forklifts, small loaders, and trucks to access repairs.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Follow and comply with all health, safety, environmental, and HR procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations and Department Manager
- Attend company training programs as required.
- Will be required to occasionally operate lifting devices, such as a forklift.
- Some mechanical skills are considered a plus.
