Description
The Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Thrift Store is looking for a casual/on call salesclerk who can work as needed. Someone who is able, when requested, to work an 8-hour shift.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Sorting, pricing and displaying donations
- Operating cash register
- Process money and interact payments
- Internal customer service
- General cleaning
- Working in a team setting
- Sales associate

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- NOTE: For some jobs, you may be required to provide validated educational documentation.

**Education/Certifications**:

- Completion of Public School (alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable)

**Experience**:

- Up to three months of prior related experience including, experience with warehouse processing or goods distribution and knowledge of lifting guideline are an asset.

**PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES**:
Customer friendly/people skills
- Able to efficiently run cash register and interact machine.
- Able to lift 40 pounds and wear steel toed shoes (PPE)
- Able to tolerate dust.
- Able to work together with others in respectful manner

Background check consent
A clear vulnerable sector screening
A clean driver abstract
Completion of our online Prasedium Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.

**DAYS and HOURS of work**:
Expected to work weekdays and some evenings and alternate Saturdays.

THIS IS AN ON-CALL RELIEF POSITION WITH NO REGULAR HOURS OR SHIFT

Hours Monday to Wednesday and Saturday are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday & Fridays will be 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
