**Job Summary**
The GT (General Tool) Repair Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing and diagnosing of electrical (110V / 240V), heating products (LP & NG heaters) and 2/4 stroke equipment for repair. The incumbent ensures repairs produce consistent and reliable products. Provides guidance and leadership to the Service Technicians. Source all repair parts required and complete all work orders concerning the repair of construction and aerial equipment. This role also supports store staff including loading/unloading equipment and merchandising.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of small engine repairs, electrical repairs or related experience.
- Small engine trade certification and/or G2 Gas certificate is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge/understanding of Stephenson’s product line.
- Mechanically inclined
- Flexible with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License and clean Abstract is preferred.
**Responsibilities**
- Diagnoses and repairs all of Stephenson’s General Tool equipment including demo hammers, tampers, drills, aerators, lawn & garden equipment.
- Ensures that all equipment is rental ready and meets set quality and safety standards.
- Follows the appropriate checklist and procedures.
- Can read and refer to owner’s manuals and schematics.
- Possesses excellent product knowledge and can effectively transfer this knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, safe operating techniques and promoting related accessories/products.
- Ensure that every customer is treated in the same fair and consistent manner and resolving issues as they arise.
- Supports in store merchandising initiatives. This includes pricing, inventory control, product placement, etc.
- Follow all paperwork and computer procedures related to servicing of equipment.
- Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
- Participate and ensures daily “COMPASS” is complete.
- Adheres and promotes all Company Safety Policies
- Involved in annual inventory initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
