From Play To Words Inc. is a thriving private therapy practice offering multidisciplinary supports to children throughout Edmonton, and immediate surrounding areas (Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, St. Albert). We provide ECS services to children 2-6 years of age. Our Educational assistants provide one to one supports under the supervision of a teacher for children with a range of disabilities.

Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Educational Assistant program
- Minimum one (1) year experience in the area of Autism is an asset
- Being able to work independently and with a team is an asset
- Must have valid drivers licence/own vehcile and have the willingness to drive to and from schools
- Upon hire, employee must provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Welfare Check

Key Responsibilities
- Work one to one with early childhood (2.5 - 6 yrs) students in community preschool, playschool and Kindergarten settings
- Plan and implement a creative, flexible program based on the children's motivations
- Provide direct service to family and community providers with a focus on maximizing a child's function in the areas of articulation difficulties, motor speech disorders, language delays, and learning disabilities
- Provide speech, fine motor, gross motor supports to students with additional support needs in integrated settings
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children and prepare necessary equipment and materials
- Assist with planning, preparing and implementing programs to meet students' needs
- Utilize prep time
- Staff will be required to participate in heavy lifting, kneeling and squatting throughout their shifts
- Ability to work in a high energy environment with the ability to change priorities as required

Hours
- Flexible work schedules (morning, afternoons or both) available with additional options of completing the administrative part of the work (e.g. report writing etc) from a home office
- PT and FT opportunites available

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
