In our collaborative and innovative work environment, we believe anything is possible with the right team and the right tools In your role as a Robot Handler, you will be responsible for the setup, supervision and operation of our robots. Working in shifts on-call, you will drive our robots to various worksites, prepare and run them for snow-plowing operations As someone who enjoys the outdoors, you love being out and about and getting to travel to different locations for work. Your friends know you as someone who is reliable and can "get it done". With working knowledge of robotics and hardware maintenance, you are capable of troubleshooting basic hardware issues in order to maintain the efficiency of robot operations. Since we average about 20 hours a week for snow removal during the winter months, the remaining time will be spent helping out in the shop with the assembly team. Here you will be building the robots that we use for snow removal and grass cutting. At the end of the snow season, the role will shift to robot assembly only. Job Responsibilities: - On-site operation of snow plowing robots during all snow events - Supervision of the robot while it is operating - Communicating with the Lead Technician to troubleshoot the robots - Managing a team of Operations Technicians to assist in the snow operations - Reporting to the Operations Manager - Documenting progress - Maintaining logs of KPIs - Driving robots to various locations to complete operations - Assemble large mechanical and hydraulic systems, electronic components, electrical wiring and mechanical drivetrains - Perform electrical crimping, wiring, soldering, and PCB assembly - Follow assembly and electrical instructions and diagrams - Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs - Maintain an organized, tidy, and safe shop environment **Skills**: - Previous experience in a supervisory role - Ability to work outdoors, in various conditions including freezing temperatures, snow, humidity and rain - Ability to work On-Call hours, in the AM and PM, including on weekends - Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and small engine equipment - Valid G license + clean driving history - Experience driving a pick-up truck with a trailer attached - Ability to comfortably lift 50lbs - Problem solving - Clear and concise interpersonal communication skills, active listening - Strong ability to adapt and be flexible with changing priorities **Why work for us?** - Welcoming, inclusive and collaborative team environment - Modern and Green Energy technology - Exciting Startup with lots of opportunity to have your voice heard **Job Type**: On-Call, Full time **Hours of Work**: On-call schedule for snow. 9-5 for assembly work to reach 40 hours a week **Perks**: Bonus pay-out - Swap Robotics is an equal opportunity employer.
