**L1 Wiring Assembler**

**Role**:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Wiring Department, the L1 Wiring Assembler is responsible for Install all electrical conduit and control wiring to various devices required on the transformer, under supervision and guidance.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Kitting - ensure required parts are requested in a timely manner for production requirements.
- Performing all tasks related to the layout and assembly of conduit installation on power transformer and Mobile Substation.
- Control cabinet wiring as per wiring drawings.
- Verifying and mounting of control cabinet utilizing best practices as required.
- Completing Conduit Planning and installation - ensuring all standards are met (including external wiring) using best practices.
- Wire terminations utilizing best practices and proper tooling.
- Assisting the team with wiring on power transformers and mobile substations for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and controls test.
- Assisting with disconnecting all wiring associated with tank cover removal upon unit failure
- Prepare unit for painting and shipping

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and work in a team environment
- Ability to learn how to read, understand, and interpret drawings, sketches, schematic interpretations and engineering specification blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Basic mathematics knowledge for controls (Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Understanding control components
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tool use
- Computer literacy would be an asset
- Experience in industrial wiring, is an asset
