Whitecap Resources Inc. ("Whitecap") is a Canadian oil & natural gas company that pays a monthly cash dividend to its shareholders. We have unconventional and conventional assets exclusively focused in Western Canada and the asset base includes the Weyburn EOR Project. As a majority owner and operator of the Weyburn EOR Project, annually we safely sequester approximately 1.5 million tonnes of CO _2 _making it a unique project within our portfolio. Our corporate philosophy allows us to develop skills, collaborate alongside our teammates, and ultimately have a fulfilling career. **Position Overview**: The Operations Technician works within a multi-disciplinary, asset-based team environment. The role requires strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate with Calgary and Field staff, as well as third parties and Regulators. **Key Job Accountabilities** - Timely submission and accuracy of all end-of-well data - Disseminate data to industry partners and internally manage recordkeeping of non-op data - Coordinate and manage operational audits and inspections - Liaise with our field personnel on field inspections and corrective actions and responses - Track capital projects and accruals - Prepare and track AFE's - Electronic wellfile creation and management - Invoice approvals - Support our water management team with annual reporting on reservoirs, term licences, and corporate tracking **Primary Qualifications and Skills**: - Minimum three years of operational experience in the oil and gas industry - Relevant post-secondary education is a benefit (e.g., Engineering Technician Certificate) - Self-starter, able to multi-task and prioritize various initiatives - Requires strong organizational and communication skills - Works well in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills - Efficient with Microsoft Office products - Experience with Geoscout, Production Manager, and AFE Nexus is beneficial - Experience and familiarity with regulatory data portals (OneStop, DDS, WATERS, WURS)
