Installer/laborer

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Currently, the company is involved in custom full renovations and remodels, in addition to new-home construction and commercial projects.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Must have all personal tools at all times
- Communicate well with project manager regarding complete job tasks
- Installer must be able to read blueprints/ plans
- Installer is responsible for all non-skilled and skilled laborer's; they must ensure everyone is doing their job correctly and efficiently
- Installer must keep all laborer's occupied and assign tasks when needed
- Installer must ensure production deadlines are being met for the day and week.
- Must ensure they provide material count to crew leader
- A renovation installer must be familiar with all scope of renovations.
- Must provide a daily verbal or written list of tools and materials to laborer's to load to bring to jobsite.
- Must know how to safely perform various tasks such as (but not limited to):

- Remove and install light fixtures
- Installing floor tiles, tubs surround, shower hubs, backsplash tiles
- Installing toilets & vanity cabinets
- Installing floors (vinyl, laminate, hardwood)
- Painting, drywall, baseboard and quarter round install and repairs
- Installation of slab doors and sliding closet doors
- Installation of closet shelves (to be cut to size on-site)
- Must be able to identify what tools they need depending on the task (drywall, flooring, tile etc.)
- Aim to do the tasks properly the first time

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 3+ years’ experience as installer in the renovation/ construction industry
- Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean Driver’s record
- Will be required to complete tasks from start to completion of a project with little to no supervision
- Must know how to independently complete all scopes of residential renovations
- Able to problem solve on-site and off-site
- Operate all tools required to complete work
- Ability to perform physical job functions during all weather conditions
- Own personal Tools Required (They are not supplied)

**OWN TOOLS/EQUIPMENT**
- Steel-toed safety boots
- Jeans and Company shirt
- Safety glasses/goggles
- Personal pouch, framing hammer, olfa knife, claw bar, tape measure, PPE, drill holder, drill bits

**WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES**
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Handling heavy loads

**Additional pay**:

- Overtime pay
- Stat holiday Pay

**Schedule**:

- 8 + hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
