Location: Tillsonburg, ON

Shift Available: Afternoon Shift: Mon-Thurs 4x10 4:00pm-2:00am

**Your Role and Responsibilities**

**_
Job Purpose:_**

The Maintenance Helper position assists the Maintenance department with all activities. This role will assist Tool & Die Makers, Electricians, and Millwrights with priority and preventative maintenance.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Complete new or ongoing projects (5S, Tool, etc.)
- Complete necessary audits (5S, LPA)
- General organizing/clean-up of shop floor areas as required
- Suggest corrective actions and/or Continuous Improvements
- Assist with coil storage cleaning/organizing
- General plant housekeeping. (basement, tenant floor cleaner, cupboard, backyard)
- Ensure work area is clean, neat, orderly, and free of scrap materials
- Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
- Assist team members to achieve work goals and objectives
- Daily communication with Team Leaders and team members
- Ensure work areas are clean, neat, and orderly
- Back up Production Associate as required
- Assist and implementation of new principles and practices
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists
- Assist in changeovers as required
- All other relevant duties and directed by the Tool Room or Maintenance Team Leaders/Managers

**_ Key Requirements_**_:_**
- Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
- Apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, or trades related training an asset
- Must have Forklift License or have ability to obtain Forklift License
- Must have Overhead Crane Certification or have ability to obtain Overhead Crane Certification
- Must have Aerial Lift Platform Certification or have ability to obtain Aerial Lift Platform Certification
- Computer efficiency and systems knowledge in all required areas
