**Custodian / Sanitation Associate Grimsby, ON | Full Time**

**Reporting to: Flower Supervisor**

**Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7AM-3:30PM**

The Sanitation Associate will be responsible for keeping production buildings and office building in clean and orderly condition and will be responsible to ensure a safe and clean work environment as well as the safety and quality of our products. The Sanitation Associate is responsible for following procedures and coordinating with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure sanitation standards are met. They are required to clean and sanitize floor surfaces, washrooms, offices, common production areas and employee welfare areas ensuring they are maintained in clean and good working condition, refilling of sanitary products, soap, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in the washrooms and gowning areas.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Use approved chemicals to clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize general production areas
- Restock soap, sanitizer, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in the designated areas
- Clean and sanitize surfaces in office buildings bathroom and kitchens as well as common employee common and common production areas
- Sweep and mop floors
- Complete scheduled sanitation tasks and monitor hours required for completion of job assignments and quality of work.
- Accurately complete all applicable documentation such as cleaning & sanitizing records and logs.
- Assure all sanitation work is properly completed in a timely fashion for production to commence/resume operations.
- Follow company policies and enforcement of cannabis, food safety and health and safety regulations.
- Empty all garbage's and clean all shared washroom and kitchen facilities
- Monitor cleaning chemical inventory and coordinate purchasing requirements with procurement.
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations and Company policies.
- Other duties as assigned

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES**

**Experience / Education**
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- 1-2 Years of Experience in cleaning and sanitation role

**Skills & Abilities**
- Ability to pass criminal background check is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate and read labels in English
- High attention to detail and self-motivated
- Strong motor skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Flexible to work off shift hours
- Must have own transportation as we are not on a public transportation route

**Physical Demands**
- Most of the workday would be spent on one’s feet
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Some lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
- Using manual dexterity repetitively
- Extended periods of stooping, bending, kneeling, standing and walking
- Working while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

**Working Environment**
- Exposure to the smell of cannabis
- Predominantly Indoors
- Exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals
