Optimil Machinery is a manufacturer of sawmill equipment and other related machinery. We have been in business for over 35 years. We manufacture a wide variety of steel and aluminum parts. Our facility has a variety of different machine centres, all engaged in making high speed processing equipment for the forestry industry.

We are looking for shop helpers for our machine shop and fitting shop.

Duties: moving material (steel, metal parts, etc.) around the machine shop, to and from different work stations, industrial shop clean up, keeping general workspaces clean, drilling steel parts, preparing parts for assembling larger components, and any other shop duties as required.

Must have mechanical aptitude and some experience in an industrial shop environment.

Must be able to work in a team environment with electrical, hydraulic trades and engineering staff.

Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs, have excellent communication skills, be extremely organized, have mechanical aptitude and motivated to learn.

Day shift 7-3:30

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
