**Overview**

SOL Bakehouse is a new café and bakehouse opening in Guelph, built on warmth, creativity, and community. We serve thoughtfully crafted coffee, fresh baked goods, and good energy — all in a boho-chic space that’s as fun as it is welcoming. We believe in great food, kind service, and creating a space people want to return to again and again.

We’re adding to our _opening team_ and are looking for passionate, reliable, and positive individuals to join us in creating something special from the ground up.

We are seeking dedicated Baristas to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in customer service and attention to detail will ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience. **Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing customer transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper handling techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including balancing the cash register at the end of shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining quality service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food service and preparation.

**Skills**
- Proficient in using POS systems for transactions.
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to prepare food items while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
