Our office in** Kingston,** ON, is looking for a** Quality Control Inspector**to join our team.

**Summary of the Role**:
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for implementing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with the company quality policies, programs and practices with respect to the various and required codes and standards for company work projects and fabrications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish quality standards for evaluation of products.
- Examine work pieces to determine conformance with specifications and welding requirements.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders for workers.
- Perform visual, dimensional and weld inspections.
- Perform non-destructive testing on piping built to ASME/ANSI codes.
- Monitor currency of welder qualification records and certifications.
- Maintain inspection and calibrations records.
- Ensure compliance with code standards and requirements (i.e. ASME B31.1 and B31.3, CSA B51, ISO 9001).
- Prepare inspection and test plans for fabrication of various codes.
- Present and expedite solutions to fabrication problems and testing procedures.
- Compile, analyze and present history dockets, data files & data reports (i.e. Piping data reports, partial data reports).

**Key Requirements, Experience and Skills**:

- Diploma in Quality or Engineering or C.E.T. would be considered an asset.
- In depth knowledge of Inspection techniques and various Q.A./Q.C. codes.
- Knowledge of and experience with CSA B51, ASME Sections V and IX, and ISO 9001 would be considered an asset.
- CSA W178.2 VT (Level I or II) Certification would be considered an asset.
- A valid G Driver's Licence is required.
- 2 years of Q.C. field experience in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.1-Pressure Piping, ASME B31.3 Process piping, and CSA Z7396.1.
- Familiar with the development of ITP (Inspection Test Plans) to various codes.
- Experience in construction operations is required.
