Dairy Farm Herdsperson

We are a family owned dairy farm in Milford Station, Nova Scotia. Our farm consists of 700 cows and a staff of 18 people who come to work everyday with the goal of providing the best care for our animals.

We are growing and are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time farm hand.

This role is on a 6 days on / 2 days off schedule. On work days, the shift would begin early afternoon (12pm - 3pm) and end late evening (8pm - 12am). Four work days would be spent caring for calves, assisting with calvings, caring for heifers, etc. Two work days would be spent milking 380 cows twice.

Daily responsibilities will include:

- Feeding, cleaning, and caring for calves
- Feeding, cleaning, and caring for heifers
- Caring for fresh cows and their newborn calves
- Milking cows

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
