The Cam Clark Auto Group is seeking a full-time **Body Shop Technician** for our **Cam Clark Ford** location in **Airdrie, AB.**

- **You will be accountable for**:_
- Reviewing damage reports and repair estimates to plan necessary work.
- Inspecting and repairing or replacing front-end components, body panels, doors, frames, and underbody components.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to repair or replace damaged parts.
- Straightening bent frames using specialized equipment.
- Hammering out dents, buckles, and other defects.
- Filing, grinding, and sanding repaired body surfaces to ensure smoothness.
- Repairing or replacing damaged glass components, including windows and mirrors.
- Performing other component repairs such as seat frames, carpets, and floorboard insulation.
- Inspecting repaired vehicles and performing test drives to ensure proper handling and safety.
- Installing new parts and accessories as required.
- Providing guidance and supervision to apprentice Body Shop Technicians as needed.
- Assisting with ordering replacement parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintaining accurate work orders and timecards.
- Keeping detailed records of repairs.
- Staying updated on advancements in repair technology and techniques.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and occupational health regulations.
- Performing any other tasks as assigned by the Body Shop Manager.
- **To be successful in this role, you must have**:_
- Prior experience in auto body repair or a related field is considered a valuable asset.
- Being a licensed technician is considered an asset.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver abstract required).
- Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- **Working Conditions**:_
- Work in a collision center with exposure to vehicles, chemicals, and various weather conditions.
- Must follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
