**TASTING ROOM STEWARD**

We have been making wine in the area for over twenty years. We source only the best fruit from the Niagara Region, working closely with growers that share our attention to detail and pursuit of the highest quality.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Tasting Room Steward. This is a full-time seasonal position that would commence May 1st and wrap the last weekend of October. This position works closely with and reports directly to the Operations Team at Big Head Wines.

The Tasting Room Steward is instrumental in driving daily front of house activities and objectives at Big Head. They participates in all day-to-day operations of the tasting room, retail store (sales, stocking, glassware), well as packing & shipping. This position requires frequent dialogue between management, team members and guests of the winery, while maintaining an evolving list of priorities.

The Tasting Room Steward thrives in a high-paced environment, has excellent time management skills, and a keen eye for organization. They must have an open availability, and an understanding that hours can be at times, irregular.

- shipping & receiving
- general understanding of stock and inventory movement
- bussing & polishing glassware
- stocking of products and merchandise
- cleaning and maintenance of facility
- labelling, bottling, waxing, capsuling
- become knowledgeable of products and processes
- use of POS / cash handling

**Qualifications**:

- must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Smart Serve certified under new requirements
- hospitality experience considered an asset

**Hours of Work**:
This is a full-time, seasonal position. Hours vary depending on business need.

Weekends required.

Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From $16.50 per hour
