**Job Description**:

Reporting to the Purchasing Coordinator, the Clerk - Purchasing performs a variety of purchase order, clerical, and reception duties for the Purchasing Department, using an automated purchasing system and word processing, database, and spreadsheet software tools.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Grade 12 and two years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Ability to keyboard at 50 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to organize work.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
