Options Bytown is currently looking to fill vacancies on our Supportive Housing Team. In the position of Relief-Housing Support you will be providing support to tenants living in supportive housing.

**Previous experience, and understanding, in the following areas**:

- Working with vulnerable people and being able to help them identify personal goals, and supporting them through a process of change
- Managing complex and difficult situations in relation to people
- A non-judgmental approach to working with people
- Self motivation and being able to work alone on a regular basis
- Understanding of professional boundary issues
- The role that community plays in reducing isolation
- Group activity planning
- Desirable past experience in working with people who have addictions, concurrent disorders and a history of homelessness

**Qualifications**
- Currently working towards, or have completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in social services or a related field.
- Experience working in homelessness, addictions, mental health, and poverty
- Bilingualism as well as languages other than French and English is considered an asset

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:
