**ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position Summary**

Sasco Contractors Ltd. is an electrical contractor working on some amazing projects in the lower mainland, BC interior and on Vancouver Island since 1985.

With the growth experienced, Sasco has an exciting new opportunity at its head office located in Burnaby for an experienced Electrical Estimator who is seeking a rewarding career within a high performing and supportive team.

The Electrical Estimator is a key part of the team at Sasco and ensures that submissions and proposals are accurate, timely, and competitive.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

Work shall include but not necessarily be bound by the following:

- Organize, receive, and respond to tender invites as part of the estimating team
- Determine who the competition is and who the pertinent suppliers and manufacturers are
- Ensure job is quoted, on time, as per tender documents including contractual terms and conditions
- Determine true costs for each job
- Completing digital take-offs and Accubid data entry using Bluebeam and/or Live Count
- Use of MS Excel spreadsheets
- Database (Accubid) maintenance including price updates
- Liasing with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing on bill of materials
- Participating in pre-tender closing bid reviews
- When necessary, working with management at job closing
- Organizing job closings
- Follow up with customers after closing of tender
- Participating in post tender addendums, value-engineering, and negotiations when required
- Participate in both job kick-off meetings and job post-mortem meetings
- Coordination with the Project Management team

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Certification, degree or diploma in either electrical construction, construction management, engineering, or quantity surveying
- User of Accubid products (BW +, Pro, CO, LiveCount)
- Expert user in Bluebeam
- Office 365 Products
- Canadian Electrical Code
- Class 5 drivers license
